Now that that’s settled, let’s talk fishing and boating on Lake Mille Lacs. Resorts with pontoons for rent were high on your list, so naturally, you chose The Red Door Resort. We hope you didn’t forget your fishing gear, because this is also a perfect time to cast your line for a catch or two (or three, or four)–and we can help you find some of the best fishing spots on Lake Mille Lacs for walleye, smallmouth bass, muskie, northern pike, largemouth bass, or perch. If you’d like to catch a ride with a professional (instead of renting one of our new amazing pontoons showcased below), Captain John Wersal, The Red Door Resort’s preferred fishing guide, is ready and always willing to let his passion and skill rub off on you.
Now, enough about fishing (just kidding, there’s no such thing as too much fishing) whether you’re gliding over the water in one of our new pontoons or you’re taking your runabout along for the ride, the kids (or you!) will have a thrill a minute on the open water. This classic lake tradition of just being–Nothing to check off your to-do list, no feeling rushed– it’s a must to add to your vacation itinerary if you’re interested in making the most of the lakeside state of mind in Minnesota, and we know you are.
Pontoon rentals on Lake Mille Lacs? They’re a no-brainer, and as promised, we’d like to introduce you to our two new NorthStar pontoons. The ‘Fish’ is decked out with 6 fish seats, a bimini top (aka sunshade!), a spacious 8’x20’ deck, ample storage, and a 12-person capacity. The ‘Cruise’ is outfitted with everything the ‘Fish’ is (but the fish seats), and features a high-back reclining helm chair, bamboo flooring, and lounge-style seating. Both with a maximum of 90 horsepower, you’ll happily glide along at 15-25 miles per hour on these fun-filled pontoons.
