Ice & Fishing Report

Fishing reports remain great with many fishing along the first break and deeper off the flats.   Bite was a little more sporadic yesterday with the pressure change and freezing rain.   Some jumbo perch have been caught and walleye are ranging in the 15″-26″ with a few slot fish being caught.   28 1/2″ walleye was the largest reported yesterday and a few northerns being seen in the spearing house but overall, spearing has been a little slow and we are hoping it will pick up over the next week.   Ice averaging 9.5 – 10.5″ which we have measured out to the Weimer flat and with the colder temps this week, we are hoping to build good ice.  We are anxious to pull our sleeper houses out but will only do so when a few more solid inches of ice is measured.   Stay tuned…..
