Fish House Rentals
The Red Door Resort is pleased to announce closing on the purchase of Appeldoorn’s ice business. The acquisition adds over thirty fish house rentals, five plow / pull trucks, and a snow cat to our winter business. The newly acquired fish house rentals will be able to be reserved on The Red Door Resort’s website by December 1st!
Appeldoorn’s shares The Red Door Resort’s values of providing outstanding customer service and catering to anglers and families alike, so when Appeldoorn’s decided to discontinue the winter business, it was a natural fit for The Red Door Resort to acquire the portfolio.
New Fish House Rental Amenities
Staying on the ice isn’t the simple experience it used to be. All of The Red Door Resort’s fish house rentals come with warm heaters, RV stoves with ovens, basic cooking utensils, rattle reels, catch covers, and either on-board bathrooms or access to conveniently located porta-potties. Generators, along with extra premium fuel, are supplied for each wheelhouse and each skid house at least 10’x20′ in size. This year our five wheelhouses and each of our 10-person and 6-person skid houses will come with a flat-screen TV, DVD player, and retro game console (remember those 80’s video games you so adored?). Additionally, these rentals, and a few others, will also be equipped with access to WiFi while on the lake.
Rates
Despite higher prices for almost everything and the addition of a number of in-house amenities, The Red Door Resort has decided to keep fish house rentals rates flat for the 2022-2023 winter season. We hope this helps you make it out this winter for a fishing trip with friends and family.

Mille Lacs Winter Regulations
Finally, and in case you missed it, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources has released the Winter 2022-2023 Mille Lacs Fishing Regulations, which are effective December 1, 2022.
